"The Man I Love" is a song that Nat King Cole recorded for his debut album, The King Cole Trio.

History[]

The Gershwin brothers wrote "The Man I Love" in 1924 initially for the film Lady, Be Good. The song was the replacement of a song titled "The Girl I Love." The song, although cut from the final versions, was to also be featured in the films Strike Up the Band and Rosalie.
